What does your business do?
We help organisations increase attendance at their events by ensuring that people are introduced to others whom they would like to meet. By creating a buzzy social atmosphere those who have come leave feeling satisfied and pleased that they went.
We introduce people at networking events, conferences, receptions and private parties.
What motivated you to do what you do?
I was attending many events myself but found that it was often very difficult to meet the people I wanted to meet, or even meet anyone at all! The more I thought about it, the more I felt something was fundamentally wrong with the events I was attending. I frequently left feeling dissatisfied, even though many were well-organised in terms of venues, refreshments and entertainment. It was very rare for anyone to introduce me, and it bugged me so much that I decided to do something about it.
What is your Unique Selling Point?
We provide a service that anyone can access. We work for anyone who cares about their guests enough to make sure that they have a good time.
Who is your ideal customer/client?
We are still in the early stages of building the business and enjoy the variety of clients that come through word of mouth and personal contact so at the moment we don’t have an ideal.
Do you have a particular service or product you’d like to flag up here?
We offer a range of at-event networking services. The most popular is Whole Event Hosting where we look after all the guests’ networking needs, but we also offer a service accompanying one or two Directors to an event so that he/she can stay by the bar whilst we do the work in bringing people to meet them - this is our Search & Connect service.

What is your biggest challenge in the current climate?
Probably navigating rapidly-changing social media.
Where do you think your business will be in 5 years’ time?
I like the sense of adventure that comes with not being able to predict the future. I am a fan of the Unexpected – so I look forward to finding out!

What do you like about the Askew Road?
I like the fact it’s local, and that thank goodness there are a few stand-out independent businesses.
What do you think Askew Road will be like in 5 years time?
I don’t know, but I hope it continues to improve with more independent shopkeepers.
How easy is it to shop locally in Askew Road?
I don’t find it easy to shop in the Askew Road. I wish there weren’t so many mini-supermarkets (I think I counted eleven), all selling the same thing but not the choice of ingredients I need.
What are your favourite shops and businesses in Askew Road?
Askew Wine and Adam’s Café for the exceptionally friendly service.
